Rugby Data Recovery

Data Recovery Rugby: We are experts are recovering what many might consider to be the unrecoverable from a variety of storage devices including internal hard drives, external hard disk drives, USB storage devices, solid state drives, RAID and multi-drive setups. Every day we are asked to help clients (new and existing) recover data from a whole host of internal and external storage devices that have failed for a wide variety of reasons. Some drives fail because of old age and general wear and tear, some because they have been assembled using less than standard components; others fail because of conflicts between hardware and software or issues with firmware that has been corrupted or has become out-of-date. Whatever the reasons our data recovery Rugby are on hand to help.

Firmware? Many people don’t know of firmware and this is not meant as a criticism. Firmware is a small piece of in-built software usually mounted onto the printed circuit board (PCB or logic board) attached to the hard drive or written onto a hard drive sector and it can fail because it has become corrupt or has been rendered obsolete by a newer version or a change in the operating system. Indeed at our data recovery Rugby centre our engineers are regularly being asked to recover data from drives that no longer function because of the change from an existing operating system to the new Windows 8/8.1.

One of the most common issues with the new Windows platform is that not all manufacturers have taken up the opportunity to ‘licence’ their hardware with Microsoft. This means that whilst in some cases it may work by default, in some cases it will not because the operating system has not been instructed to look for it. Our hard drive recovery service can cope with this and our engineers can recover the data accordingly.

Conflicts between hardware and operating system

Our data recovery Rugby engineers are faced with the particular issue of non-functioning external hard disk drives. Even though they are ‘visible’ in the device manager they may not be visible through ‘My Computer’ meaning the data is in effect inaccessible.

If you have found that your hard drive is no longer visible after moving over to a new operating system then it may be the drive is not compatible with it. To this end the data on the drive may be almost useless unless recovered by our data recovery Rugby engineers who can recover it to a new medium that will be recognisable by the operating system. Call us today on 0115 8220606 if you are in this predicament and a member of our data recovery Rugby engineering team will talk you through an initial diagnosis as well as providing you with a no obligation quote. (Our quotation may not include any additional charges for mechanical damage to the drive should there be any but our engineer will explain this to you in more detail). They will also explain our No Fix No Fee policy. If you are happy with the quotation and wish us to recover the data send the drive to our data recovery Rugby and Warwickshire centre via post (register it for your own peace of mind as you cannot put a price on your data and we cannot be held responsible for the loss of your storage device whilst in transit, courier or in person. You might like to bring the drive to us in person if you like or work near to our data recovery centre.

Once we have received it our data recovery Rugby engineers can perform a full diagnosis and will send you an email detailing the precise nature of the data that can be recovered (usually all of it). If you are happy to proceed we ask that you make payment to us via BACS transfer, credit or debit card (we do not accept PayPal) we can recover the data to a new storage device (if over 30GBs we ask that you purchase an external storage device from our wide selection in stock) and can return your data to you by next day courier. If you would like more information or are suffering data accessing problems through any of the issues listed above contact us today on 0115 8220606. Our data recovery centre and telephone lines are operational Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm (except Christmas Day and Easter).
