A holiday park office earns most of its year in about twenty weeks, and keeps the bookings, the card records, the rotas and the supplier accounts on one machine with nothing behind it. The office PC has stopped and we take bookings all week. Can it go to the front?
Urgent goes on the record when you book it, not afterwards. The unit is imaged on the day it arrives, ahead of everything else logged that day, and once there is enough diagnosis to put a date on, you get a finish date rather than a guess. Weekdays the phone is answered from 9am until 5:30pm.
No second copy exists anywhere. What is done with it?
No write ever reaches the original. Imaging is read-only and it happens before anything else is tried; from then on the copy takes the work, and your media comes back untouched. Whatever is recovered goes onto new media, with a written list of every file that came off and every file that would not, for you to check before you pay.
What comes on paper at the end? The bookkeeper will need it.

Opening a disk means fifty per cent up front — written into the quote, never sprung on you later.
