LUSEP is what makes Loughborough unlike anywhere else in this county. Then there is Charnwood Campus, empty from 2011, reopened in 2014 and now carrying more than 800 scientists, with Almac Pharma Services, Kindeva, Solventum and Charnwood Molecular on it and a £4.6m laboratory investment made in September 2025 — GLP and GMP analytical work, where the raw data sits on the instrument PC and the audit trail matters as much as the result. Add the university, Brush, and John Taylor & Co, the world's largest, and the UK's only, bell foundry. A read-only image is taken off the disk you post, and every step from then on works against the image; the disk itself is never written to and returns in the state it reached us in. One fixed price is put in writing before any of that starts. What you have at the end is the files on new media and an itemised account of which came off whole and which did not — paperwork that leaves an audit trail intact.
How is a drive best packed for posting?
It is movement that damages a drive in the post, so start by stopping it. An anti-static bag where the lab has them, firm padding against every face of the box, or failing that the packaging it arrived in. Tracked service.
